What This Service Delivers
Fair evaluation needs one form that everyone applies the same way. ViewClass's Evaluation Forms and Classroom Visits gives the school a tool to build its own forms — to evaluate teachers in classroom visits, assess a topic such as the learning environment, or measure parent satisfaction — and issues reports automatically.
What you get:
- Three form types:
- Rubric: elements each with a relative weight (totaling 100) and graded indicators across levels whose achievement percentages the system divides automatically.
- Rating scale: the most used — each indicator evaluated separately, with the weight divided equally across the element's indicators.
- Checklist: true or false — mastered or not.
- Flexible building: number and names of levels (names or numbers), evaluation closing date, permission to edit and delete, making results available to the evaluated, and defining the evaluator category (supervisors, parents, students, and so on).
- Publishing with notification: on publishing, evaluators are notified to begin participating.
- Disciplined execution: the system does not accept submission of a form with any indicator left blank, with a note beside each item and general notes.
- Scheduled classroom visits: a classroom visit is a form specifying the teacher, class, date, period from their timetable, the evaluation form used, and whether the visit is announced or confidential — with a list of previous and scheduled visits.
- Automatic reports and evaluator averaging when more than one person evaluates the same teacher, with comparison between them.
- Results for the evaluated under the "My Evaluations" tab if enabled when building the form.
- Form copying for reuse after editing.
How It Works in ViewClass
- The system administrator builds the form from "Educational Operations → Evaluation Forms": type, elements, indicators and weights, levels, options, and evaluator category — then publishes it.
- The supervisor schedules the visit from "Classroom Visits": teacher, class, date, period, the form used, and announced or confidential.
- Executes and reports: the supervisor records each indicator's level with notes and submits; the result and average are calculated automatically, and the teacher sees their result if enabled.
What Your School Gains
- Defensible fairness. One form, one set of levels, and automatic calculation — so a teacher's evaluation does not change with the supervisor.
- Documentation ready for supervisory bodies. A form matching approved criteria, automatically generated reports, and a complete visit log.
- Targeted professional development. Element and indicator results pinpoint the weak area (classroom management? explanation? assessment?) so training is directed there.
- One tool for every evaluation. The same forms measure parent satisfaction, students' evaluation of their teachers, and the school environment — as the school needs.
