User and Permission Management

An account for every student, teacher, parent, and administrator, with permissions set by role down to the smallest sub-function — so each user reaches only what concerns their work, and your school's data stays governed and traceable.

What This Service Delivers

A school-sized learning platform means hundreds of accounts with different roles: students, parents, teachers, a principal, deputies, supervisors, an activity leader, a clinic officer, a cafeteria officer. ViewClass's User and Permission Management makes creating these accounts and controlling what each one reaches an organized, governed matter — not a mess of passwords and open permissions.

What you get:

  • Four user categories managed from one screen: students, parents, teachers, and administrators — with ready job titles (school principal, assistant system administrator, academic supervisor, deputy, activity leader, clinic officer, cafeteria officer, and more) and the ability to add new titles.
  • Individual or bulk addition through ready Excel templates, including files exported from the Noor system when available, with bulk import of student photos and status updates.
  • Parent-to-children linking across all children, with a report revealing students not yet linked to a parent.
  • Fine-grained role permissions: each role has a list of main and sub-functions, and each function has options to enable or block — saved automatically, with the ability to copy permissions from one school to another.
  • Daily operating tools: search by ID, name, or username; log in as any user to provide support; hide or show a student's grades and reports; and activate or deactivate a student license.

How It Works in ViewClass

  1. Accounts are created at setup from Excel (or Noor) files, and each parent is linked to their children. Teacher accounts are created once and edited as needed during the year.
  2. Permissions are set per role from the permission management screen: the system administrator selects the role, then the function, then enables or blocks its options. Changes save automatically and apply immediately.
  3. Managed day to day: adding a new student mid-year, moving a student between classes or branches, granting a teacher an extra permission, or logging in as a user to see what they see when support is needed.

What Your School Gains

  • Security built on the right principle: every user sees only what their work requires, reducing the chance of unwanted access and making accountability easy to trace.
  • Flexibility without chaos. You can grant exceptional permissions to one user without opening the door to everyone.
  • Hundreds of hours saved. Importing from Excel, Noor, and photos in bulk replaces what used to be entered manually, account by account.
  • Complete parent linking. The unlinked-students report ensures every parent sees their children from day one — the precondition for all communication to succeed.

Yes. Permissions are set at role level, and the system administrator can add extra permissions and roles to a specific user (a teacher taking on a supervisory task, for example) without changing the permissions of other teachers.
